In 2009, Ben became an Associate with St. Arnaud Pinsent Steman (SPS) (formerly known as St. Arnaud Pinsent & Associates and Daniel J. St. Arnaud, Chartered Accountant, by being promoted from within the organization. At SPS, Ben specializes in the provision of accounting, tax and business advisory services for owner-managed businesses. Over his six years in public practice, Ben has built a strong network of contacts from various industries and he regularly uses this support network to assist his clients in their efforts to build value for the their enterprises.

After completing his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Alberta, Ben began working for TD Waterhouse (then known as Green Line Investor Services). He progressed from an investment representative to a team manager in a short period of time. He left TD Waterhouse in 2002 to pursue his desire to become a Chartered Accountant. In 2003, he began working with Daniel J. St. Arnaud, Chartered Accountant. He completed his articling experience with the firm and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 2006.

Ben has a long-term commitment to education and in 2006 he obtained his Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Ben's career as a public accountant has enabled him to provide a full range of client services - his areas of particular focus currently include tax and financial reporting assistance and the preparation of annual financial statements. Ben is committed to customer service and his client's success.

Ben understands the need to always give back to the greater community and has been actively involved in a number of local organizations. Ben currently serves as the Treasurer for West Meadowlark Community League. He is also currently undertaking a new role in the community at a local playschool. Ben will be the treasurer for the Westend Community Playschool. His youth volunteering includes the Provincial Museum of Alberta and the Edmonton General Hospital.

Ben and his wife Carri have been married for over 8 years and have two children (Nicholas and Emily) who keep them young and active!
